About

Dr. Stacey Munro

Naturopathic Medicine
Dr. Stacey Munro is a naturopathic physician who specializes in the prevention and treatment of chronic conditions. The other way of looking at this is the optimization of health, longevity, and quality of life from whatever your starting place is. Contrast this with the disease care system which is only focused on fixing or patching what is broken. This conventional approach is like waiting until your house falls down and then propping it up with a couple of pieces of wood and blocks, vs taking care of your house so that it’s structural integrity remains intact.
The Journey

A Path to Healing

Originally from Vancouver, Canada, Dr. Munro spent most of her life in Portland, Oregon. She received a Bachelor of Science from Oregon State University in 1995. During college and shortly after, she traveled extensively in Europe, Asia, and Australia. She returned to Portland to attend massage school at the East-West College of the Healing Arts. After completing pre-medical studies at Portland State University, she attended the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine in Tempe, Arizona, graduating in 2005. In 2007 she opened Nature’s Helper Medical Clinic in northern Connecticut. Dr. Munro currently enjoys gardening, hiking, and backpacking in her free time!

"Following Naturopathic philosophy, she looks for the root cause, rather than just treating symptoms."
